This is a new section on our blog, where we’d like to introduce you to some of Cooper’s friends from both Instagram and real life! This week we’re speaking with Kate and her very own Cooper! Let the interview commence…
Hi there, tell us a bit about yourself…
I’m Kate and I’m from near Wolverhampton where I have my Fiance Ryan and our friends and family.
I’m a Teaching Assistant at a primary school and part-time student. I have a passion for photography and would love to be able to do more with this in the future.
And tell us about your lovely dog…
Cooper is a two year old Cocker Spaniel (we actually have the same birthday!) and he’s my baby! He has a love of adventure and exploring but also loves a good nap and gets very sleepy if he doesn’t nap during the day.
I started an Instagram account for Cooper because I knew there would be lots of photos taken of him. His account is @cooper_elw and recently we dived into the blogging world! So that has become a new focus for us too. We thought it would be great to share our adventures and discoveries with everyone. You can find our blog at www.cooperelw.wordpress.com.
What is your favourite thing to do together?
Explore! Without a shadow of a doubt. We visit Cornwall regularly and Cooper absolutely loves to explore new places. He will clamber across the rocks on the beach and follow his Dad absolutely anywhere he goes.
When we can’t be in Cornwall, we love to walk and play fetch. But a snuggle first thing in a morning is always a treat for us ❤
Do you have any favourite dog-friendly places?
Cornwall! We have visited many parts of Cornwall in the last 2 years and I love that Cooper is allowed in the majority of the places we go to. I adore the lifestyle of being able to take him everywhere with me. Closer to home; we are in the process of finding as many dog-friendly places as possible.
What are the 5 things we wouldn’t leave the house without?
If it was up to Cooper, this would be mostly tennis balls and food!
- A lead (and seat belt if travelling in the car)
- Treats (Cooper is trained with treats so they come everywhere we go)
- Poop bags (at least 3…)
- Tennis balls (1 Kong squeaky and 1 cheapie that is no hardship if lost)
- His Dogrobe is there is any chance of water.
Our list would go on and on. My phone I’m hoping is just a given as there needs to be photos. Plus Cooper’s water bottle – it’s thirsty work being a crazy cocker!
Are there any brands you’d like to work with?
We would love to work with any brands, especially with my love of photography; it would be great to get creative with the photos in regards to creating great photos for the brands.
We have a love for Dogrobes (a true saviour for any water-loving spaniel!), Kong, Equafleece and James Wellbeloved (I had problems with finding Cooper the right food when he was a pup as nothing agreed with him. He has successfully been eating James Wellbeloved food for almost 2 years).
We would also love to be able to work with smaller brands. I bought Cooper a bow tie for his birthday photo shoot from Cotswold Pooch and it’s beautiful. He now has 2 bandanas from them as well.
If we are aiming for the big guys…why not send Audi our way? Our A3 has become Cooper’s mode of transport and he loves a ride in the car.

Thanks for taking the time to join us, Kate. It’s been great to get to know you and Cooper more through this interview and we look forward to hearing about your adventures.
